Rumour: GTA V For PS4, Xbox One & PC Release Date Outed By Retailer?

There have been a few release dates attached to Rockstar’s upcoming re-release of GTA V for PS4, Xbox One and PC, with all being placeholder dates. However, UK retailer Littlewoods has an alternative release date set for the title, November 14th.

However, that’s not all. Earlier today Take Two’s UK distributor also listed the November 14th as the titles release date. Since then their website has reverted the release date to “TBC”, though we have an image of the listing before the change.

Does this mean we finally have a set release date for the next-gen versions of GTA V? Maybe, maybe not. In the meantime we’re just going to have to wait for an official announcement by the folks over at Rockstar and Take Two.

Damn those secretive buggers…

Will you be getting GTA V for PS4 or Xbox One? Or are you holding out for the PC release? Hijack the comments section below and let us know you’re preferred platform.

News: Destiny Leaked Early, Requires 40GB Install

Some lucky so-and-so has managed to get their hands on Destiny a full week ahead of the games official release date.

As such, we now have some new info on the title, the biggest being the install size. Destiny requires an absolutely huge install of 40GB, so if you’re running low on hard drive space it may be worth looking into getting yourself an external drive to prevent disappointment.

Check out the images of the games case, confirming the install size:

However, 40GB is only the start. With Destiny being primarily an online game, expect there to be many a patch, update and of course the mandatory post-release download content, all of which will be taking up valuable space on your systems hard drive.

To say we are envious of this lucky bugger would be an understatement, we’re not set to get the title for another week…

Destiny is set to release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 9th.

Have you managed to snag a copy of Bungie’s shooter early? If so, please let us know what your impressions are down in the comments section below.

News: Dead or Alive 5 Last Round Announced, Trailer Inside

There’s another Dead or Alive heading onto home console in the shape of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.

Team Ninja announced the upcoming fighter today at Japan’s Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Arcade Summer Carnival tournament.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is set to release on the PS4 and Xbox One as well as the old-gen consoles, the PS3 and Xbox 360.

When will it be available? Well, Japan will be smashing each other to bits in scantily clad, digital females early Spring next year and there’s no release date set for the UK, Europe or North America. It’s safe to assume there will be a release in Western territories at some point, possibly later on in 2015.

If you want to get some hands on play time with Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, you can play a demo next month at The Fall Classic in Raleigh, North Caroline. There’s not a lot of time to get a go of the demo, it’ll only be available from October 10th until the 12th.

Some may be disappointed in the fact that it’s releasing across both new-gen and last-gen consoles, but the name of the game is money and as such, Koei Tecmo will want to make the game accessible to as a many players as possible.

Finally, there’s also a teaser trailer to go along with announcement, so go ahead and direct your peepers South way to get a cheeky look at whats to come.

News: Resident Evil HD Trailer Released

Capcom has released the first Resident Evil HD trailer for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

The upcoming survival-horror adventure will be releasing with the ability to run at 1080p, but only on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Players on the last gen consoles will have to make do with sub-1080p, but will still be able to enjoy the features present in the next-gen and PC release, such as the ability to play in the original old-school aspect ratio of 4:3, or stick with the updated 16:9 widescreen option.

In addition, there are two control schemes to choose from. Players can either stick to the titles roots and play in the classic control set-up or they can opt for the updated and much more user-friendly mode.

Resident Evil HD is actually a re-release of a re-release, if you can get your head around it. Resident Evil HD first appeared on the Nintendo Gamecube way back in 2002.

This latest release will launch on the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC sometime in the first quarter of 2015.

In the meantime, check out the first Resident Evil HD trailer below.

News: Saints Row 4 Re-Releasing On PS4 & Xbox One

Love them or hate them, but re-releases are here to stay, for the time being anyway. The latest title to be announced as a re-release for the next-gen consoles is Saints Row 4 as announced by developer Volition during the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle.

The re-release of Saints Row 4 will be a direct port with enhanced graphics and the like. One notable addition is the inclusion of voice commands; though there’s not many details on how this will work just yet.

Saints Row 4 originally release back in 2013 for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to rave reviews from critics and fans of the outlandish series alike.

Saints Row 4 will release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 27th of next year, so not too long to wait.

The new generation of consoles has seen its fair share of re-releases most of which have been well received by players (The Last of Us, Tomb Raider). However there is a divide, much like Pepsi vs. Coke, players a split as to whether these ‘new’ games are worth the asking price.

What do you think of re-releases? Are they worth the time and money? Will you be delving into a second slice of Saints Row 4′s ‘special’ brownies? Let us know down in the comments section below.

News: Assassin’s Creed Unity Stays In The Shadows Until November

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Unity has been delayed, pushing the title back from its October release date to early November.

It’s not a huge delay, only two weeks of extra waiting… The French publisher has delayed the title to allow a bit more time for some extra spit-and polish, though they also confirmed that there will be a day-one patch to download and install. As long as everything runs smoothly, we won’t have too many complaints, though going by Ubisoft’s recent history there’s not a lot of hope for such smooth sailing…

Assassin’s Creed Unity will now be launching on November 11th in North America and November 13th for the UK and its European neighbours.

Assassin’s Creed Unity is the first ‘true’ next-gen Assassin’s Creed title in the series with it being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

PS3 and Xbox 360 players will still get an Assassin’s Creed title this year in the form of Assassin’s Creed: Rogue.

Which will you be picking up this November? Or will you be delving into two different tales with each generations iteration? Swing your blade in the comments below and make your mark.

News: LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Busts Bricks This November

Warner Bros. has announced that LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will be smashing its way onto shop shelves this November 14th.

The Caped Crusader and friends will be, as the games title suggests, traipsing beyond the familiar setting of Gotham City and off out into different cities, planets and even the final frontier, space.

As you can expect from long-time developer of the LEGO series of games, Travellers Tales isn’t shaking up the tried and tested formula too much with the latest outing. Players will still be smashing everything in sight to collect those precious studs all the whilst figuring out simple puzzles and fending off the evil-doers with some super-hero smack down. What’s not to like?

News: PS Plus Content For Septemeber Spoils You Rotten

Sony has just announced the PS Plus line up for September, revealing the goodies that will be available to download come September 3rd.

For PS4 owners there’s two treats to get stuck into with Velocity 2X and Sportsfriends which comes highly recommended from The Games Cabin! Both are indie games, but that doesn’t mean they’re not worth your time. Be sure to nab both titles when they enter the Instant Game Collection, and if you’re not left satisfied then I’ll eat a replica of John Marston’s hat from Red Dead Redemption.

The PS3 is also playing host to two new titles in the Instant Game Collection. The fantastic brawler PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale and the fast-paced strategy game that is Hoard.

Finally the PS Vita. With two new titles being introduced to the Instant Game Collection you’ll find a reason to take your poor PS Vita from your desk, wipe off the dust and let it see the light of day. TxK will be blasting you back to the past with its bold and bright visuals reminiscent of the arcade games from the early 90′s whilst Joe Danger swaggers onto your Vita’s screen with equally glorious visuals, all running at 60 FPS.

Not a bad haul for the price of your subscription. Of course, there will always be some who will be left disappointed by the offerings of PlayStation Plus. Chances are you already own or have played one or two of the titles that are due to arrive in September. Still, there’s always October…

What do you think of the latest PlayStation Plus update? Happy with whats being thrown your way, or are you feeling the bitter taste of buyers remorse? Let us know down in the comments section below.
