X-Men: Days of Future Past hit cinemas in the last week, raking in the money and garnering great reviews here’s mine. Surprisingly, for a film this big with a massive hype machine behind it, there was no official videogame to try and part us from our hard-earned cash.

News: Halo 5: Guardians Will Be Xbox One Only

Bad news for those of you who haven’t made the expensive step into the next-generation of home consoles: Halo 5 won’t be shipping on the Xbox 360. 

So those of you clinging on to your Xbox 360 in the hope of getting the latest installment in the Halo series, Halo 5: Guardians, you’re just going to have to pony up the cash if you want to play it.

News: Crytek To Showcase Two New Titles At E3, Possibly Homefront 2

Some interesting news coming from Italy; Crytek will be showing off two new titles at this years E3 gathering in Los Angeles.

GameVillage.it reports that the firm will be showing two new titles, one of which will be Arena of Fate which is to be a PC only shooter, most likely to be released under a free-to-play model.

There’s a new game mode being injected in Call of Duty: Ghosts as part of the latest update, as well as some tweaks to weapons in an effort to balance out the gameplay.

Infinity Ward has created a new game mode named Reinforce.

News: Watch Dogs Has Gone Gold, New Trailer Inside

Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world adventure, Watch Dogs, has now gone gold.

What does that mean? Well it means that the master disc is ready, the disc from which all subsequent copies will be made from. Exciting!

Watch Dogs was originally intended to release late last year, but Ubisoft decided to post-pone the release to improve the game and iron out the issues, ensuring that players get the best possible game on release.

Yesterday we wrote that Sony had removed a sentence from their website stating that Watch Dogs would run at 60 frames per second at 1080p, prompting much discussion as to what the actual frame rate and resolution will be for the PS4 version, as well as the Xbox One.

Rumour: Call of Duty Blacksmith To Be Revealed Next Week

More Call of Duty rumours are appearing online, with the latest being that the upcoming title will be revealed during the first week of May and that it is being referred to internally as Call of Duty Blacksmith.

This is hardly a surprise as we mentioned last week that Activision tends to announce the yearly Call of Duty during the first week of May, year after year.

Activision’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game has now released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Wi U, 3DS and, surprisingly, Microsoft’s Xbox One.

Sledgehammer Games has officially started teasing the inevitable Call of Duty 2014.

A few days ago we posted the first screenshot from Call of Duty 2014, a screenshot released by Sledgehammer during a GDC panel. Now the development studio has updated their official website with an image stating “Call of Duty Coming Soon.”

Traditionally, the Call of Duty reveals occur during May, so we can expect to have more news over the next couple of weeks.

Unfortunately Avalanche Studios’ upcoming Mad Max video game has been pushed back from it’s original 2014 release date to 2015.

Warner Bros. has confirmed that once again Mad Max has been pushed back from it’s original release date which will no doubt disappoint those who were looking forward to the first AAA Mad Max video game.

A new domain registered by Just Cause publisher, Square Enix, seems to indicate a third installment in the bonkers Just Cause series is on the way.

The domain, “Justcause3game.com” was registered earlier in the week by Square Enix whilst there are also muttering online of an E3 reveal for Just Cause 3.

News: You Won’t Lose Your Progress With Minecraft On Xbox One

Some good news for those looking forward to getting stuck into Minecraft on the Xbox One, you’ll be able to transfer your Xbox 360 save game to your shiny new console.

Phil Spencer confirmed the news today on Twitter, much to the delight of many Minecraft and Xbox One owners.

According to Ubisoft’s animation director Colin Graham, upcoming Watch Dogs will appear identical across the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, despite earlier rumours suggesting otherwise.

Speaking to the folks over at VideoGamer.com, animation director Colin Graham spoke more on the matter:

Rumour: John ‘Soap’ MacTavish To Appear In CoD: Ghosts

Infinity Ward has been teasing a possible new character skin for CoD: Ghosts, the skin in question being that of fan favourite John ‘Soap’ MacTavish.

A tweet from the developer of CoD: Ghosts suggests that Soap may be released as a new multiplayer skin, much like Captain Price was released a while back.

News: Titanfall’s Expedition DLC Takes You On A Trip This May

Titanfall‘s first piece of download content has been revealed to be named Titanfall Expedition and it’s stomping onto Xbox One and Xbox 360 this May.

Featuring three brand new maps, Swampland, Runoff and Wargames, the Titanfall Expedition DLC promises to deliver some new variation to the shooter with the new locations to do battle in, as well as some new game modes that are being released for free.
