It’s taken an age for Sony and From Software to announce some download content for the PS4 exclusive Bloodborne, but back at E3 they came through and delivered by announcing The Old Hunters DLC.
At this year’s Tokyo Game Show it was announced that The Old Hunters will be releasing on November 24th for the fair price of £11.99. You’ll be able to access the content of the DLC somewhere around the first half of the game, but according to the developers it’ll be more along the difficulty found in the latter end of the main campaign, so it may come as a bit of a shock for newbies.
The DLC will be releasing on the PSN, but it will also be included in the special edition of Bloodborne that releases this December 3rd.
So, what does The Old Hunters bring to the table? Well, so far we know that there are 10 weapons and three new areas, some of which incorporate old ones. It’s said that new Bloodborne DLC will offer around eight hours of playtime, though this depends entirely on how fast you decide to tackle it.
While it’s good news that Bloodborne is getting a big expansion, the bad news is that this will more than likely be the only one that players will receive. From Software originally planned to introduce the DLC as two separate packs but in the end decided to roll them into one big bundle.
“It was decided that with one set, we’d be able to do more with it, and have more volume for players to play with. As of right now, we have no plans for any more DLC.”
