In Destiny 2: Lightfall, Strand joins the elemental powers of Void, Arc, Solar, and Stasis. The Destiny 2 Lightfall Strnd subclass allows users to wield the fabric of the universe in battle. Each of the three Destiny 2 classes can unleash the power of Strand in fresh and exciting ways.
The developers at Bungie describe Strand as an astral-like dark telekinesis power. Strand users will master the art of weaving to unravel their enemies. Strand is a highly-mobile subclass with some incredibly powerful and aesthetically-pleasing Supers.
How to unlock the Strand subclass in Destiny 2 Lightfall
As you play through the Destiny 2: Lightfall Campaign, you will get an opportunity to experiment and play with the Strand subclass. However, to unlock the Strand subclass permanently in Destiny 2, you must complete the Lightfall Campaign in its entirety.
Upon completing the Lightfall Campaign, return to Neomuna. Now, head to the Hall of Heroes. Finally, in the Hall of Heroes, approach the Pouka Pond and meditate to unlock the Strand subclass.

How to get Strand Meditations in Destiny 2 Lightfall
Strand Meditations are a type of currency debuting in Destiny 2: Lightfall. To unlock the Strand subclasses various Fragments and Aspects, you must spend Strand Meditations.
You will receive 500 Strand Meditations when you first meditate at the Pouka Pond. From there, you can gather additional Strand Meditations by completing activities around Neomuna and defeating enemies using Strand.
Below is a list of all the activities that award Strand Meditations and how many Strand Meditations you get per activity:
- Strand Final Blows: 1 Strand Meditation
- Patrols: 7 Strand Meditations
- Lost Sectors: 12 Strand Meditations
- Heroic Public Events: 30 Strand Meditations
- Terminal Overload: 75 Strand Meditations
- Nimbus Weekly: 200 Strand Meditations
- Partition Weekly: 250 Strand Meditations
Prioritise completing the Destiny 2: Lightfall Campaign, and soon enough, the Strand subclass will be yours to manipulate and control!
