Where to farm Potash in FFXIV
To farm Potash, there are multiple ways in which you can get the crafting reagent. Some of them are much simpler than others, depending on if you have the resources to spare. Here is how you can farm Potash in FFXIV.
Using Company Seals is one of the easiest ways to get Potash. If you have achieved the rank of Second Lieutenant you will be able to purchase Potash from your Grand Company. This will cost you 200 Company Seals.
Tribal Beast quests can lead to Potash, if you have met the Ixali. You will have to have progressed past the quest named “Standing At The Helm”, which you can then go speak to the Ixali Vendor in North Shroud, Peacegarden (X:25, Y22.8) where you can purchase two Potash in exchange for a singular Ixali Oaknot.
You can also run Boarskin Treasure Maps and Leather Buried Treasure Maps. However, this method is incredibly expensive and inefficient, and Potash is an uncommon drop from the final chest at the end of the Treasure Maps.
Finally, you can Dysynthesise Hingan Chochin Lanterns which also have the possibility to drop Potash. This method is equally inefficient but you can do it if you have some spare.
