Grounded Mant: Where To Find
Mant, as mentioned above, is one of the bosses you encountered at the end of one of the significantly difficult dungeons in the game. The dungeon in question is the Undershed Lab, which is in the Undershed region. This area under the shed is a large cave system, within which is the final lab you must explore in the game, the Undershed Lab. In order the access the Undershed, you must first gather the four Super BURG.L Chips from the other labs.
Once you have the four chips, speak to BURG.L and he will give you a fuse. Bring the fuse to the SCA.B on the shed deck. Activate the machine to gain access to the Undershed. Then you need to make your way through the Undershed, survive all the dangerous enemies, and enter the lab. Make your way through the lab and you will find yourself at Mant’s door.

Grounded Mant: How To Beat
Once you enter the Mant’s room, it will immediately become aggressive and start attacking. Initially, it attacks with punches and swipes, but it also has a ground attack which will stun you if you are caught in its radius. You can take on the Mant close-up, but it is quite slow, so it can be very effective to keep your distance and hit it from range. If you do move away it will chase you, but you can keep moving to stay away from it and pepper it as and when you can.
As you drop its health, it begins to use more attacks and bring in some friends. At 75% health, the Mant will bring in a Fire Worker Ant which will also chase and attack you. At this point, the Mant will also start making use of the fungal growths on its back, either by lobbing explosive growths at you or by running at you and exploding the growths on its back. The back explosions are particularly deadly, as it will do three of them in quick succession. Getting caught with all three could wipe you out instantly.
At half health, the Mant brings in a Fire Soldier Ant to help. This extra enemy is much tougher and more of an annoyance than the last. The Mant also begins firing webs at you, which will slow you down and drag you toward it.
Regardless of whether you decide to go with ranged attacks with a bow, or go close and personal with a melee weapon, your best bet is to use Mint damage. Both the Mant and its Fire Ant helpers are weak to Mint, making it a great option for doing damage. Your best bet is to keep moving, as getting caught by one of the Mant’s stronger attacks could take you down instantly. Stick and move, use plenty of Mint damage, and the Mant shouldn’t cause you too much bother.
