In this Honkai: Star Rail Light Cone tier list, we’ll take a look at the strongest Light Cones for each Path. There are lots of Light Cones in the game, and they typically get stronger the higher their rarity is.
It’s worth noting before we begin that the Light Cones you get are mostly random, so don’t expect to be able to get all the best Light Cones for each Path. Most 4-star or even 3-star Light Cones will be able to carry you through large portions of the game if you understand team building and the battle system.

The best Light Cones for Destruction, Erudition & The Hunt
Destruction
The best Destruction Light Cones are On the Fall of an Aeon and Something Irreplaceable. These are both top-tier 5-star Light Cones, but if you can’t get your hands on those you can opt for strong 4-star Light Cones.
Generally good 4-star options include Under the Blue Sky, The Moles Welcome You, Nowhere to Run and A Secret Vow. Woof! Walk Time can also be used on characters with Bleed or Burn effects.
Erudition
The best Erudition Light Cone in Honkai: Star Rail is Night on the Milky Way, which increases your ATK for every enemy on the field. Before Dawn is also a great 5-star Light Cone.
Lower-tier options include The Seriousness of Breakfast and The Birth of the Self. These are some of the most effective damage-based 4-star Light Cones.
The Hunt
If you want a top-tier Hunt Light Cone, go for In the Night or Cruising in the Stellar Sea. Other good options include Sleep like the Dead and Only Silence Remains.
Swordplay is great if you tend to focus damage on a single enemy without switching targets.

The best Light Cones for Harmony, Preservation, Abundance & Nihility
Harmony
The best Harmony Light Cones on our Honkai: Star Rail tier list include But the Battle Isn’t Over, Memories of the Past and Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds.
But the Battle Isn’t Over is the only 5-star Light Cone for the Harmony Path in the game at the moment, but if you can’t get that you should opt for one of the aforementioned 4-star ones if possible.
Preservation
The top tier 5-star Light Cones for Preservation are Texture of Memories and Moment of Victory. If you can get your hands on these you should absolutely use them.
The best 4-star Preservation Light Cones are We Are Wildfire, This is Me! And Day One of My New Life. You can also opt for Trend of the Universal Market if you prefer the Burn damage.
Abundance
The top-tier Abundance Light Cones include Time Waits for No One and Echoes of the Coffin.
If you are looking for a good 4-star Light Cone, Post-Op Conversation will be a solid option for any Abundance character. Quid Pro Quo and Warmth Shortens Cold Nights are slightly below them in effectiveness, but still good.
Nihility
The very best Nihility Light Cones are Incessant Rain and In the Name of the World. These are the 5-star options available, and both are extremely good.
The next best options are Good Night, Sleep Well and Eyes of the Prey. You can go with Fermata if your character matches the elements it utilises (Lightning and Wind).
