If you want to reset progress in Vampire Survivors, we’re here to help. In this guide we’ll walk you through how you can reset your save progress easily in the game. There are three locations you’ll need to back up/delete files from, so without further ado, let’s jump right into it.
How to back up files in Vampire Survivors
The first thing you should do if you want to reset progress in Vampire Survivors is to head to Steam and access your Library. Right-click on the game, then go to Properties and then Local Files.
From there, go to Browse to bring up your Vampire Survivors folder. In here you can click on open sources, then app, then webpack. You should see a file named renderer.
It is highly recommended that you copy this file to a safe place to use as a backup. You might regret not doing this further down the line, so go ahead and make a copy somewhere you can access it.

How to reset save progress in Vampire Survivors
If you want to reset your save progress in Vampire Survivors, follow the previous steps until you arrive at your renderer folder. Make sure you’ve copied it somewhere.
Then, open the original renderer folder and delete any files named LastRunBackup, SaveDataBackup or steam_autocloud. Once these are deleted, press the Windows key and the R key at the same time and type %appdata% before pressing enter to Run.
Copy any Vampire_Survivors folders you see to a safe place just like you did before, then delete the originals. Go back to your renderer folder and click on Steam, then userdata, then click on the numbered folder. Eventually, you should find the remote folder, from which you can delete the SaveData file. Again, copy this to a new location first if you want to back up your files.
Finally, go back to the game’s Properties on Steam and click on General. Untick the box that says “keep game saves in the Steam Cloud”. Upon loading the game you should have reset your progress and you can start afresh. You will have none of your power-ups or characters, and you can play through the whole game from the start.
