    Is Pikmin 4 open world?

    Many fans would love to see a big Pikmin 4 open world. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom prove that Nintendo can succeed in making one.

    However, it’s easy to wonder if it’s even possible in a smaller franchise like Pikmin. Here’s what we know about a Pikmin 4 open world.

    Now that Pikmin 4 has been released, we know there’s no open world featured in the game. Similar to games like Final Fantasy XVI and Super Mario Odyssey, there are big environments to explore but they’re not connected in one complete world.

    For example, Serene Shores and Blossoming Arcadia can’t be explored at the same time. They’re separated by days.

    Are there any open-world games on Nintendo Switch?

    If you’re craving an open-world game on Nintendo Switch, you should check out The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The exploration is absolutely unmatched in the genre with intriguing environments to explore, rewarding treasure, and cool boss fights to be found everywhere.

    You can even enjoy puzzles as well at every shrine in Tears of the Kingdom all over Hyrule.

    However, if you’re up for a mature open-world experience, there’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It runs surprisingly well on Switch and offers many intriguing side quests along the way. You can also hunt nasty beasts all over the impressive open world.

    It’s not like a Pikmin 4 open world, but at least there’s a neat story to follow.

    Instead of slashing griffins down in The Witcher 3, you could also check out Minecraft instead. It randomly generates the world around you and provides a challenge of survival.

    You have to gather enough resources to build your own home and be self-sufficient. It also has a kid-friendly art style, which Pikmin 4 also carries.
