We live in an age of remastering games. No matter if it is good or bad for gaming it should come as no surprise that such big titles are being redone.
Sony is coming out with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection which will feature all three current installments of the smash hit series. The collection was first announced back in early June.
Now however we are getting our first look at that game and finding out details from Sony.
The game is set to run at 1080p and 60 FPS which is and should be the standard for current generation systems and titles. The studio Bluepoint Games who have also worked on the God of War and Metal Gear Solid Collection are at the head of this project.
They are updating everything from lighting and character models to slight shifts in the mechanics of the game. To showcase this they have released screenshots and a video you can see below. To answer one question, yes, the game still looks great and stuff blows up real pretty.
A demo will be available on PSN later this summer for players to check out and the whole collection will be available October 7th this year.
The trilogy collection is shaping up to be a true to Uncharted form remaster for fans of the series and well-timed for new players who want to cath up on Nathan’s story before it’s apparent conclusion in Uncharted: A Thief’s End, which is set for release in March 2016.
