An image bearing the title Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix has surfaced online with All Games Beta, possibly pointing to an unknown Assassin’s Creed spin-off.
The image shows what looks to a modern-day Abstergo office of some sort, though most of the picture is unclear, with just the Abstergo logo being recognisable.
This could point towards a PS Vita spin-off, similar to Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, which supplemented Assassin’s Creed III. Then again, this could be a number of things. This could point towards a Facebook game, similar to tie-ins with previous titles, a short film to build up hype for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, or it could simply be a fake image created by some devious soul who loves to toy with out emotions.
Personally, I’m hoping Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix is anything other than the latter. There have been a few rumours that there is indeed going to be another Assassin’s Creed title for the PS Vita, with hints coming from Ubisoft who claimed to be happy with the sales figures for Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation on the PS Vita.
Until more information is leaked/given up or taken by force, we’re left scratching our heads with this one.
