Some great news for fans of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation‘s Aveline: her story will continue in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Most who played the PS Vita exclusive Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation were lost within Aveline’s story come the end of the game, so we’re being given the chance to explore her a bit further in some exclusive content within Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Whilst it was previously thought that Aveline’s presence in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag would amount to nothing more than a simple character skin to play in, it’s actually much more.
Ashraf Ismail, single player game director for the upcoming action/adventure title revealed to Joystiq that there will be some brand new content, letting players who are already familiar with Aveline’s story delve a little deeper into her life as a member of the Assassin Order.
One thing worth noting: it’s PlayStation exclusive. So if you’re wanting to explore Aveline’s story a little further then you’ll have to get the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
I personally enjoyed the PS Vita iteration of Assassin’s Creed and found Aveline to be an interesting character, if a little under-developed, so it’s great to be able to get the chance to go a bit further as well as enjoy the main portion of the game. However, does this rule out another adventure for Aveline on the PS Vita? Maybe. Maybe not. There’s been rumours of another Assassin’s Creed for the PS Vita, specifically Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix. We’ll just have to wait and see.
