Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world adventure, Watch Dogs, has now gone gold.
What does that mean? Well it means that the master disc is ready, the disc from which all subsequent copies will be made from. Exciting!
Watch Dogs was originally intended to release late last year, but Ubisoft decided to post-pone the release to improve the game and iron out the issues, ensuring that players get the best possible game on release.
Watch Dogs is a brand new IP from Ubisoft, the same company responsible for the highly successful and critically acclaimed Assassin’s Creed series, as well as the Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia series, amongst others.
Watch Dogs will be releasing on May 27th for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The Wii U version is slated for a summer release, though at this time there’s no solid release date for the Nintendo version.
May 27th is less than 2 weeks away, but from where we’re sitting it seems like an eternity. In the mean time, why not pour over the latest trailer which you can find down below.
