Mario Strikers: Battle League is undoubtedly a highly anticipated game to come out this year. Fans of the soccer spinoff series have been awaiting another installment for years, and luckily they won’t have to wait much longer. For Nintendo Switch Online members, the wait is even shorter; they get to experience a taste of it today!
Nintendo announced on Twitter that a free demo for Mario Strikers: Battle League, called Mario Strikers: Battle League First Kick, will be made available. If you have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership, you’ll gain access to this demo and be able to enjoy the game before it launches.
Nintendo Switch users that don’t have access to an online membership aren’t out of luck. When these free demos come out, they’re usually accompanied by a seven-day free trial for Nintendo Switch Online that can be redeemed in the eShop. So pretty much everyone should be able to enjoy this demo as long as they have an internet connection.
With this demo, you’ll be able to play the tutorial. Admittedly not much to do, but in a matter of days, you’ll also be able to play online against other players during certain time periods, similarly to the online play test for Nintendo Switch Sports. The available dates and times are as listed below:
•Friday, June 3
8:00 pm – 9:00 pm PT
•Saturday, June 4
4:00 am – 5:00 am PT
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PT
8:00-9:00 pm PT
•Sunday, June 5:
4:00 am – 5:00 am PT
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PT
These online tests will allow you to play either with random players or with friends in online 5 vs. 5 matches, which is an improvement from the Nintendo Switch Sports online play test. The one-hour period feels a little short, but it’s better than nothing. Make sure to go to the eShop and download the demo so you can take part in the action (if you have trouble finding the demo, just search up the title of the game in the eShop and it should pop up in the results).
That’s not all there is about Mario Strikers: Battle League. Nintendo also confirmed on Twitter that after the game launches, players can look forward to post launch updates, which will feature new characters. Hopefully Daisy is one of the first characters to come from these updates.
Mario Strikers: Battle League is set to release on Nintendo Switch on June 10, 2022. Are you looking forward to the game’s release? Are you interested in trying out the Mario Strikers: Battle League Kick Demo? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
