Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Dates and times
The annual Pokemon GO Adventure Week returns for 2023 starting Thursday, July 27, at 10am and runs to Wednesday, August 2, at 8pm local time.
Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Mega Tyranitar, Shiny Tyrunt, and Shiny Amaura debut
For the first time in the game, Trainers can encounter Mega Tyranitar, Shiny Tyrunt, and Shiny Amaura. Mega Tynranitar can also be Shiny!
Mega Tyranitar will defend Mega Raids during Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023. To encounter Shiny Tyrunt and Shiny Amaura, you will have to get lucky hatching Eggs during the event or stumble upon these special Pokemon in the wild or after completing event-themed Field Research tasks.

While Adventure Week 2023 is active, you will run into the following Pokemon in the wild:

- Kabuto
- Aerodactyl
- Lileep
- Anorith
- Cranidos
- Shieldon

Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Field Research task encounters
Completing Adventure Week–themed Field Research tasks during the event will net you encounters with the Pokemon listed below:
- Omastar
- Kabutops
- Cradily
- Armaldo
- Tyrunt
- Amaura
Of these Pokemon, only Tyrunt and Amaura can be Shiny.
Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Eggs
The Pokemon listed below will hatch from 7 km Eggs during Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023:

- Tyrunt
- Amaura
These Pokemon can all be Shiny, and Tyrunt and Amaura that hatch from Eggs have an increased chance of being Shiny compared to Tyrunt and Amaura that you encounter in the wild or after completing the Adventure Week Field Research tasks.

Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Free and Paid Timed Research
Adventure Week 2023 offers both free and paid Timed Research. In the free Timed Research, Trainers can pursue either exploration or research-focused tasks.
The paid Timed Research costs $2 and consists of research tasks related to exploiting. Completing these tasks awards two Incubators, a Super Incubator, and various encounters with event-themed Pokemon.
Both the free and paid Timed Research tasks and their associated rewards expire on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 8pm local time.

Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Collection Challenge
The Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023 features a Collection Challenge. If you complete the Collection Challenge before the event ends, you will earn additional encounters with Tyrunt and Amaura, plus some Stardust.
Pokemon GO Adventure Week 2023: Event Bonuses
Trainers can enjoy the following Event Bonuses while Adventure Week 2023 is ongoing:
- Double XP for spinning PokeStops.
- 5x XP for spinning a PokeStop for the first time.
- 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
