You can finally take part in the highly-anticipated Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Charizard Tera Raid Event. At the time of writing, if you want to add this Gen 1 icon to your party, you’ll need to take it on in these limited-time Raids.
Even better, this Charizard will have a Dragon Tera Type. See you later, Heavy-Duty Boots!
Here’s everything you need to know about how to find the Seven Star Charizard Tera raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How To Get Charizard Tera Raids In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet
Many people are reporting that the Charizard Tera raids aren’t appearing in their Poke Portal. Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as that.
The only way you’ll be able to join these raids is if you’ve completed the main game (completed the Area Zero storyline) and rolled the credits. But that’s not all! You’ll also need to have completed Top Champion Geeta’s request to fight all eight Gym leaders one more time.
Not only that, but you will need to have completed the Academy Ace Tournament.
If all of these requirements are met, you should be able to join five and six-star raids. It’s currently believed that you need to conquer 15 five and six star raids, although some people have reported being able to do it immediately. Still, it’s not a bad idea to get the additional Candy to level up your team – you’re going to need it!
Eventually, you’ll get a call from Jacq about the mysterious Black Tera Crystals that are popping up around the region. These Crystals will have a distinct marker on the map, so you can head straight over.
You can catch Dragon-Tera-type Charizard in these Black Crystal Tera raids between December 1st – December 4th. Don’t think you’ll have completed the game by then? Don’t worry – the same Charizard will be returning between December 15th – December 18th.
To stop Surprise Trade spam, you can only catch one of these Charizards.
