Have you ever heard of Red Awakening? Maybe some of you have, but the vast majority are probably blissfully unaware of Domino Effect’s upcoming multiplayer shooter. Let us give you the skinny:
Red Awakening is a stylish cel-shaded shooter where players team up with others online to go head to head in stealthy combat. It features a ton of sweet looking weapons, it lets you run around like a ninja and there’s also a cast of quirky characters; that’s the short of it, the long of it is better explained over on the game’s newly launched KickStarter page along with a video showing off some gameplay, so we highly recommend giving it a look.
So, which platforms will it be releasing on? For the time being Domino Effect is working getting the PC version out later this year. Once the PC version is out the door and in hands of players, the team will then start work on porting Red Awakening to current-generation consoles, and by current-generation console the team state Xbox One and PS4. Sorry WiiU players, but maybe it’ll end up on the NX – whatever that thing is.
Red Awakening is going through a round of funding over on Kickstarter with a very modest funding goal of £35,000. The campaign has only just begun and there’s still 29 days to go, so if you’re interested in getting your hands on some Red Awakening goodies then head on over to the Kickstarter page and donate a few quid.
We’ll keep you updated with how Red Awakening goes, so make sure you check back in with The Games Cabin every now and again (though news is updated daily!)
