One of the few complaints many fans of the Uncharted games have is that the aiming mechanics are a wee bit dodgy – at least for Uncharted and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Uncharted 2 seemed to nail it on the head when it came to getting the aiming controls just right, but Uncharted 3 went and buggered it up. This was most likely due to the game being rushed to meet the holiday release date set by Sony, but it was quickly rectified with a patch once fans voiced their grievances online.
Thankfully, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection takes the best of everything and mashes it all together into one cohesive product; updated visuals, character models from Uncharted 3 and now the aiming system from Uncharted 2, as confirmed by Naughty Dog during a live stream at this year’s EGX in Birmingham.
You’ll be able to try out Uncharted: The Nathan Collection ahead of its October 9th release with the demo that will land on the PSN this September 29th.
Happy to learn that the aiming won’t be gocky from the off, or did you not mind Uncharted and Uncharted 3’s control schemes? Take your best shot down in the comments section below.
